Business Workshops

SCORE San Diego will hold a series of workshops in December to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs planning to open small businesses. Fees range from $29 to $109, depending on the program. Topics include: developing your business plan, starting and operating your own business, getting financing for your business, and basic business accounting, in addition to several workshops that examine marketing.

New Recycling Rules

Starting January 1 2009, new recycling guidelines will be going into effect in the City of San Diego, including mandatory recycling by any commercial building over 10,000sf. This new ordinance will affect mainly big-box stores, but we wanted to remind our Hillcrest businesses that as of January 2010, ALL commercial/business locations will be required to recycle items specified by the city.

Fun, Local...Healthy!

For folks who are looking for something to get their blood moving during the day, Hillcrest's own Champion Ballroom Academy is going to be offering lunchtime workout classes 3 times a week. Their Core Rhythms class is a cardio workout based on Latin dance moves... what could be more fun?
